½ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
½ tsp. cinnamon
1 ½ tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. Cocoa
½ tsp. salt
2 cups applesauce
2 cups flour
1 (6 oz.) package chocolate chips
½ cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter or margarine and sugar. Add the eggs and mix well. Stir in cinnomon, baking soda, cocoa and salt. Add applesauce and flour. Stir. Pour into a 9 x 13 nonstick baking pan. Toss the chocolate chips and chopped nuts evenly on the top. Bake at 350°F 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
